This month’s Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours planned for Bradford Manor has been cancelled for safety and precautionary reasons.
The chamber says this is not meant to be alarming but the Manor and the Chamber agree that the best thing for the residents is limiting access to any forms of sickness at this time.
Also, a statewide student archery tournament scheduled to be held Friday in State College has been canceled in response to the global coronavirus outbreak.
Penn State University announced that all non-essential campus events would be canceled through April 6, and the tournament, which is held at the University Park Multi-Sports Facility, was cancelled as a result.
The tournament is coordinated by the state Game Commission through the National Archery in the Schools Program. More than 1,000 students were registered to take part.
In coming weeks the game commission will contact participating schools to explore whether rescheduling the tournament is possible.
